Vittorio Valentini was born in Villa Bartolomea, near Verona.
He began his activity as an assistant - photographer for an
advertising agency collaborating on a variety of campaigns.
Afterwards he was engaged by CNEN (Nuclear Committee for Nuclear
Energy), as responsible of Audiovisual Service at Bologna
Research Centre with the assignment of editing the photographic
documentation of laboratories and research activities. When
CNEN became ENEA (Italian National Agency for New technologies,
Energy and the Environment) he tended to its imagery requirements,
organising and producing the photographic documentation, creating
booklets, present books, calendars, posters, image data books,
as well as scientific audiovisuals.
Contemporarily, he proceeded with his own personal investigation
of creativity, exploring the photographic language.
He has displayed his photos both in personal and collective
exhibitions, in Italy and abroad.
He has tutored in photography as part of professional training
courses organized by: Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies
in Pisa, Liceo Fermi in Bologna, Padua University (Course
in Fashion Knowledge and Technology) and Bandiera Gialla,
the association for social promotion of communication services.
The Communication Study Centre and Archives (C.S.A.C.) at
the University of Parma is one of the most prominent purchases
of his works.
His works has been the object of a degree thesis of the "Artistic,
Theatrical, Film Heritage and New Media Course" at Parma
University.
He lives in Bologna where he works freelance.
